Essentials For A Festival Look -Stylert.com

With the festival season upon us, many music lovers and all round party people alike will be descending upon any one (or more) of the best events the music business has to offer this summer. With your tickets purchased, camping gear and ear plugs at the ready, the only thing left is what to wear. So seeing as we will flocking there anyway, might as well flock in style, right?

1. Incorporate trend-tickers with comfortable garb. Biker boots teamed with pretty are always a surefire winner. Glam and grunge make for an easy festival look. Other looks that lends themselves particularly well to the muddy (or sun drenched) fields include boho, vintage and military chic.

2. Don’t wear sandals. Ever. Speaking from experience, if you don’t mind the dirt. I ‘m pretty sure you would mind the missing (or at the very least, badly bruised) appendages. Flip flops are the worst; keep them for the beach.

3. Be bag smart. Whereas a fanny pack may not ever be in the running for any type of fashion awards, keeping your essentials safe at all times is a must. Invest in a bag that can keep close to the body and it doesn’t open easily for your money, phone and all important wet wipes.

4. Don’t take anything valuable. A festival is not a place for your designer shades, one of a kind dresses and heirloom bracelets. When packing an item consider how you would feel if you lost it-if it involves tears, it’s the best leave it home.

5. Consider the climate. If you festival is in a place where are chances of wet weather are high so team your wellies with faded denim (shirt and shorts-take your pick) and parka for rain-proof chic. If you are heading to a warmer country, make sure you incorporate a hat and a sunnies into your festival wardrobe. Do keep in mind (particularly if you are sleeping in a tent) that temperatures may drop at night, so pack accordingly.

6. Don’t opt for a high maintenance hairstyle. No matter how careful you promise yourself you are going to be, chances are by the end of the first day you are going to come out looking as if you were dragged through a hedge backwards. Go for easily ,no fuss hair- festivals favourites are messy plaits, shaggy waves and casual updos. If you do fall prey to a frizzy hair disaster, no worry that’s what hats are for.

7.Do wear makeup. No one wants to look like the exhausted, unwashed mess they doubtlessly are by the end of the weekend, do they? Having said this, keep the makeup simple: Concealer for dark circles, a touch of blusher for a healthy flush, some good waterproof mascara and a dash of colour on the lips. Intelligently  applied makeup will have you looking almost as if you have had a great night’s sleep in no time.

Get The Boots-Stylert.com

Boots are making an amazing fashion statement this year. When it comes to fashion trends for the coming winter we are facing many styles of boots. We have loads of options. Booties, ankle boots, knee-high boots ultra-tall boots all are hot and no matter what your heel preference is, there’s plenty of variety. They can have a rugged country look, an equestrian vibe, or a sleek urban air. On chillier days, they make dresses and skirts wearable. They also give polish to jeans and add a down-to-earth feel to more delicate pieces. Boots increase the versatility of your clothes, and every woman should have a pair or two.

Ankle Boots

You have the options of flat ankle boots, box heeled ankle boots and pencil heel ankle boots. Medium heels to high heels, squared toe, rounded toe and pointed toe are the other options you can consider while you opt for one. The proportion of an ankle boot with a mid-calf, full skirt is all wrong: ankle boots look best as part of a leggy look, either with short skirt, skinny jeans or leggings.

Suede Wedge Boots

They are great for casual and daily use, black wedge boots can go with any colour of your outfit and come in ankle, mid calf and knee high lengths. They could be low heeled or high heeled and can be made from leather, suede, sweater, synthetic and even embellished with studs! If they have a tall shaft you can tuck jeans into comfortably, a small wedge for lift (makes your legs look longer) and snazzy hardware for a bit of edge.

Ultra-Tall Boots

Whatever you want to call them, boots with really tall shafts are extremely hot this season, and they can be found with low or high heels. Easy to wear, and very versatile, thigh high boots look great with skirts and dresses, or tucked into jeans.

Over-The-Knee Boots

There is a huge variety when it comes to style, trends and designs on thigh high boots for women. These boots are getting popular day by day and so as the change in functions, materials and patterns of the thigh high boots. Knee-high boots make great sense for fall because they let you get more wear out of everything from skinny jeans to miniskirts. Tuck in slim trousers for a young look or layer on opaque tights with a skirt or dress to keep out the chill. Choose a mid-heel height for the most trend-proof look (something 2 inches or less). Brown boots are a great choice if you wear lots of denim; black pairs with almost everything

High-Heeled Boots

High heel boots are a sexy, yet elegant way for women to appear taller and show off their legs. High heeled boots are the perfect compromise. No, they may not be practical. You can’t hike in high heeled boots; however, pair them with the season’s trendiest fashion items and other classic staples. High heel boots can be worn with suits, dresses, pants, and skirts and their versatility speaks volumes as to why you must own a pair.

Back To School Clothes Shopping- Stylert.com

dress by Nox

Vacation is coming to a close and it’s time to go back to work or college. Whether you dread it or love it, returning to daily life means new clothes, notebooks, backpacks and shoes. Luckily, this guide can help steer you in the right direction. Back-to-work clothes shopping is something few people look forward to. Crowded stores, inflated prices, kids whining that they must have those jeans – it’s a recipe for overspending just to get mom some relief. Promotions start in early summer, but don’t jump on the bandwagon too early. If your are picky, they may change their minds, based on what other are buying. Last-minute shopping, however, leaves you with slim pickings. Research your closet and make a plan! Give her a visual and a price-line. That opens the pocketbook when she sees you are using wisdom in your choices, not going on whim! Before you set out on your shopping trip, first take inventory of what you already have. Make a list of items a must have – jeans, shirts, west, dress, shoes, tennis shoes, belts, underwear, jackets, etc. It’s easy to spend big bucks on just a couple of outfits at trendy stores. If you have a teen who wants to dress in brand names, buy the clothes that matter –accessories and tops with recognizable logos – at the expensive trendy stores and fill in the basics from cheaper stores. Copycat jeans can be found at JC Penney and EBay for a fraction of what Abercrombie, American Eagle and Hollister charge. The best way is to show that you are developing style maturity. That means taking a classic line piece from this summer, find a fall piece to go with it, price it. Take a two or three t-shirts and find a cute vest that will go with all three. Avoid off the wall things that won’t go with several items. Keep things casual but dressy. plain shirts may seem like a rip-off to buy, as wearing a plain shirt ( well as for me) is not what i like, but remember that if you just pair with a cute belt, and a scarf or jewellery you can totally dress it up, add some cute destroyed or skinny jeans and boots or cute flats, and rocking jewellery.

Glam Rock Fashion Of The 1970s- Stylert.com

picture about.com

Glam rock is a Style of music the originated in England and also called Glitter Rock. Glam obviously stands for “glamour”. So, the image is extremely important to the survival of many bands like KISS Abba and Blondie. Glam rock is basically a rock style/genre that came after the hippy movement. The glam rock performers tended to wear very colourful, outrageous clothing and often make up as well. It was a very theatrical style which matched the flamboyant lyrics. Largely a British phenomenon, glam rock peaked during the early 1970s. The “most famous exponents” of the movement were “Marc Bolan and T.Rex, Gary Glitter and the bands Sweet and Slade.” Other influential performers were including Alice Cooper, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Roxy Music, Mud, Queen, Mott the Hoople, The Glitter Band, Brian Eno and Suzy Quatro. Glam rock (also known as glitter rock), is a rock music style that developed in the UK in the post-hippie early 1970s which was “performed by singers and musicians wearing outrageous clothes, makeup, hairstyles, and platform-soled boots.” The flamboyant lyrics, costumes, and visual styles of glam performers were a campy, theatrical blend of nostalgic references to science fiction and old movies, all over a guitar-driven hard rock sound. Glam rock fashion includes platform shoes, lots of glittery make-up for both men and women, face painting, coloured and spiked hair, Victorian style shirts, vests, leather, feathers, lots of metallic and space-age colours. It had a futuristic look and was influenced by science fiction. It was very androgynous. Glam fans (usually referred to in the contemporary music press as “glitter kids”) and performers distinguished themselves from earth-toned hippie culture with a deliberately “androgynous ” look. This is derived in large part from a fusing of transvestism with futurism. Glitter rock lost considerable momentum when its shock value was ultimately pre-empted by genres willing to push theatrical conventions and fashion statements further to the edge. By the latter half of the 1970s most fans had defected to either the disco or heavy metal camps. Many of the leading glitter acts went on to even greater success as mainstream artists, albeit with either progressive or hard rock leanings.

The Ultimate Fashion Faux Pas-Stylert.com

Clothing styles are changing every season but there are a few looks that are never flattering. Wearing out in socks and sandals may be the ultimate fashion faux pas but it could help keep you safe from sunburn. Everyone has their own version of what’s stylish. However, there are some people who just need to jazz their style up a bit. Then, there are some people who need some serious help with finding clothing that looks nice or at least appealing. Some people say when people wear things that do not match, or when someone is absolutely not fashionable at all-its a fashion crime Here’s a short list of two fashion mistakes that should be avoided.

BRA STRAPS when buying patterned or coloured bras make sure they are not visible when you wear them under your clothes. Choose transparent a good strapless bra that won’t slide. To keep bra straps hidden, use fashion tape or bra clips.

VISIBLE PANTY LINES are visible especially in white pencil skirt or skinny pants. Wear a thong, g string, or seamless underwear. Thongs can be uncomfortable, but try g-strings instead (thinner line) also make sure they are the right size.

UNWANTED EXHIBITION unintentional or not, underwear is not meant to be seen! So please take extra care not to pull your panties too high up, and yet not too low for the want of no. Equally unwanted nipples exhibition for overweight people it is an absolute turn-off. Please don’t delude yourself into thinking that your child-sized clothes make your look sexier and more toned. Get the clothes that fit, not the number you want to be and your clothes will look so much sexier.

THINGS YOU NEVER SHOULD WEAR as for example chunky (I call them Forrest Gump) sandals complete with huge ankle straps I would wear for a fancy. This is obviously personal preference, but for the life of self cannot see how it goes with anything fashionable. The most incomprehensible combination they actually think it looks classy and posh, and wear them for fancy dinners. If you must wear fur, please at least stick with a mammal that’s not likely to wind up as the family pet. And nothing worse than brightly coloured rabbit fur. A better bet is something wonderful and faux.

DRESSING FOR YOUR AGE this is directed at geriatrics who insists on cherry-red lipstick and miniskirts and spaghetti-strap tops. If your granddaughter is raiding your closet, you know it’s time to get a makeover. But if you feel you still look youthful preserved enough sure you can maintain your youthful style. Pigtails look on anyone well out of their teens just looks like a pathetic attempt at girlishness. A single ponytail, on the other hand, is considered almost universally flattering on women of all ages.

5 Japanese Street Fashion Styles-Stylert.com

Japan is famous for its astonishing street fashion and creates its own character on fashion and style around the world. There are five main categories of styles. Japanese street fashion has been influenced from anime, toys and gadgets as well as their own style of Japanese street art. This in turn influenced streetwear as a whole and the different types of styles and designs were adopted worldwide market. The Japanese have always been good at borrowing from the west (technology and style) and turning it into something completely different and original. Don’t forget that western clothes have a short history in Japan. Rather than following Europeans, Japanese girls were customizing elements of the traditional Japanese dress – Kimono, Obi and Geta sandals – and combining them with handmade, secondhand clothes.  It’s a bit like a collage. Nowadays each Japanese street look’ has its own avant-garde designers and brands. Style is all about rebellious individual self-expression, which is very interesting since Japans culture views Individualism negatively, and associates it with selfishness. The five main fashion styles are:

Kogals means small girl or child. Kogals are of girls and young women in urban Japan, one of several types also called gals. They are characterized through unique tastes in fashion, music, and social activity. In general, the kogal “look” roughly approximates a sun-tanned beach girl.

Ganguro translated “black-face” This trend peaked in popularity from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, an outgrowth of chapatsu hair dyeing. Tokyo is the centre of ganguro fashion. The basic look consists of bleached hair, a deep tan, both black and white eyeliners, false eyelashes, platform shoes (usually sandals or boots), and brightly coloured outfits. Another typical gadget of “Ganguro Gal”  is cell phones are covered with purikura stickers. Gosurori known as ‘’Gothic Lolita’’ is one of the most popular style amongst Japanese teenagers. Victorian-style girl’s clothing and often aims to imitate the look of Victorian porcelain dolls. The origin is a combination of Lolita fashion—appearing deliberately cute to the point of looking childish—and certain styles found within gothic fashion. The style started as a youth subculture sometime around 1997-98 and became a well-established genre available in various boutiques and some major department stores by around 2001.

Cosplay means ‘’dressing up’’ or also stands for ‘’costume’’ and ‘’play’’. Cosplay is popular in places like Tokyo’s Harajuku. Authentic Brioni Men-Suits-Stylert.com

Elegance, style, cool and debonair is qualities Bond epitomizes all at the same time. 007 undeniably personify all that, but no one can tell me that those qualities aren’t reinforced by the clothes he wears. For an authentic James Bond outfit, Lindy Hemming, costume designer from Pierce Brosnan’s Bond to Daniel Craig’s Bond choose Brioni.  Casino Royale was dressed by Brioni. Just before Casino Royale came out, Brioni launched a £3,000 Bond-themed tuxedo, which had “James Bond” stitched into the silver lining and was sold in a few select stores. The Brioni fashion house was founded in 1945. It was the first Rome suit shop by master tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and Gaetano Savini. They decided to name the shop “Brioni” after an Adriatic Sea resort, now named Brijuni. By the 1950s, Brioni experienced international success. The year 1954 brought the label to America at its first fashion show in New York City. Brioni opened shop in the U.S. that same year, and the rest is history. The name “Brioni” brings to mind the “Dapper Don” suits of crime boss John Gotti, or those worn today by Donald Trump. In the 1950s, Brioni represented radical innovation and impeccable style. Today, these suits represent style, confidence, and power. Other famous clients of Brioni suits include Al Pacino, Luciano Pavarotti, Robert Kennedy, Nelson Mandela. The problem with that is that many of us cannot afford to don Brioni, Dolce & Gabbana or Canali every day. In fact, most of us probably won’t get the chance to wear any of these upscale designer fashions in our lifetime. In order to meet the demand of such a large clientele, Brioni opened a factory in Abruzzo, Italy, where expert tailors hand-sew jackets and trousers before adding the finishing touches by machine. Brioni also owns a shirt factory, a leather fashion house and a line of women’s clothing. Brioni’s 900 tailors create 200 models in different styles and sizes every year. A quarter of the production consists of made-to-measure tailored suits for elite of 25,000 customers. Each garment requires at least 30–35 hours of work, and there are more than 5,000 different fabrics to choose from. An off the peg suit costs about $5,000 at the entry-level;1 and most custom-tailored suits range from $6,000 to $46,000. As of February 2009, Brioni is offering a $43,000 pinstripe suit made from some of the world’s rarest fabrics including the expensive wool of the vicuña, a rare South American relative of the llama. The suit’s pinstripe stitching are genuine white gold.

All About Scene Kids Style-Stylert.com

Scene kids are the boys and girls at music shows with the tight jeans, big hair, and over sized sunglasses. The scene culture’s popularity has skyrocketed the past few years. Often mistaken for emo kids. The biggest difference is that scene kids are more colourful and they aren’t depressed at all. Scene kids are really adorable and usually extremely nice they are very lively and fun to be around. They are a mixture of Emo and Preppy and they like to go to shows (where the scene is). Scene kids will occasionally listen to a rap song they also listen to screamo, techno, punk rock, indie rock and hip hop. The style that is considered ”scene” is a simple style that requires little effort. “Scene” is based around music mostly.80′s/indie fashion/little kiddie/bright. Hello kitty, rainbows, happiness. Bats and tiaras, leopard print, diamonds.

A scene GIRL: is pale, wears flats, jeans, striped shirts, shirts with bands, big jewellery, animal fur-patterned shirts, camouflage, short choppy multi coloured hair with bangs sweeping over one eye.

A scene BOY: tight jeans, camouflage, band shirts, black clothing, bandanas, black hair usually and often multi colours streaks in it as well that fringes over an eye.

Scenesters can only wear skinny jeans only, that’s really all the bottoms they wear, either if its denim, damaged, plaid, neon colours, with chains or patterns on them. Denim or neon shorts work for summer along with leggings or plaid skirts. They dress extremely similar to Hipster, however without retaining the shred of dignity that comes with sourcing and buying vintage clothes from 2nd hand stores. I almost forgot about makeup! Eyeliner is mandatory. You can try neon or sparkly eyeliner. The eyes are the main thing. You can use smoky makeup effect or a bright neon colour eye shadow like purple, pink or blue with mascara and eye liner. Foundation is often used since scenes face are so clear, and a light lip gloss or shine coat can be used as well. We never have tips for nails or French manicures, often we do crazy neon nail polish, or black. Even doing a rainbow pattern on nails is a way to stick out.

Tomboy or Girly Fashion Style-Stylert.com

Are you tomboy or girly? The main characters are two girls one has short hair, is into sports and shun fancy clothes while the other has long hair, is into girlier interest’s loves fashion and make-up. Girly girls are addicted to fashion and they love shopping. They just love pink! Obviously their favourite sport is fashion. Tomboy has no interest in fashion. They don’t care how much they sweat even if they are starting to burn up. They either like blue or green. Their favourite sport is basketball. Ordinary girls don’t care much about clothes in style. They just care about looking neat. For example, matching their clothes. They can like any colour that exists. They don’t care too much about sweating but they will be concerned if they burn up. It doesn’t mean that the girly girl isn’t sporty, she’ll be short of breath much sooner than the tomboy, or choose sports seen as girlier -i.e., if the tomboy is into soccer, basketball, softball, or track & field, the girly girl will be into volleyball, gymnastics, ice skating, or tennis. If you feel you are more tomboy, not a girly girl, don’t change who you are completely! Just get some clothes more like your friends and maybe some other stuff, and yes it sounds stupid but “accept” all your friends whether they are girly or tomboyish. You can become girly and still maintain the way you dress. You can still wear hoodies but the type of hoodies that fit just right with your body type. Not the baggy and loose type of hoodies that partners with sweatpants! To make it more feminine, I suggest you wear a tank top and wear a hoodie over. Don’t zip it up. Half way is fine. But don’t zip it up all the way. Keep it open or half way and show off the bright colours! Cause that’s exactly what’s going to make it more appealing.  Try mixing up the style like layering and jeans with a glamorous big belt… that’s the hip hop, layered tees is casual yet fashionable and simple. Jeans aren’t tomboy-ish at all. Whichever gender, everyone wears jeans! I suggest skinny jeans. You don’t have to wear bright colour skinny jeans. That’s just going to be way over the top! You can wear shorts to change it once in awhile.  If you feel awkward or uncomfortable showing skin, like wearing short shorts, there are always leggings! Match them with cute shoes! Slip-ons, rubber shoes, etc. it’s up to you! But appealing colours. You can add accessories. Baller bracelets aren’t tomboy-ish if they’re bright colours. Create your own style and let your imagination go wild. You’ll look athletic but feminine.
