‘The Girl Who Rocks The Planet’ is the latest story of Vogue Japan for its April 2012 issue. The editorial is photographed by Giampaolo Sgura and features Brazilian model Aline Weber.
Inspired by the very busy urban streets of Tokyo, Aline Weber is posing in energetic metallic looks, textures and amazing colors which create astonishing final results.
Italian photographer Giampaolo Sgura comes from Apulia, the most southern part of Italy. He studied architecture in Milan, where he incidentally still lives and works.
Passionate about photography and fashion from an early age, always attracted by the fashion world, he decided after 5years at the university to become a photographer.
He is following closely every step of his work, from shooting to retouching and printing. He works regularly for: Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, Vogue Germany, Vogue Italy, Vogue Korea, Vogue Homme China, GQ Geramny and Italy.
His fashion clients are such as: Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Armani, La Perla, MaxMara, Pierre Balmain, Massismo Dutti and Bluemarine.
Aline Weber is a Brazilian model. Her debut on the international fashion scene was at the Spring 2006 at New York’s Fashion Week shows. She walked for Tommy Hilfiger and Jenni Kayne. She also walked in Paris on her first season.
Her print career started in Brazil. She worked for Brazilian magazines like their editions of Vogue and Marie Claire. Her first big season, she opened shows for Shiatzy Chen, Daks, Balenciaga, and Requiem. Also walking for Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, and Proenza Schouler.
