Make-Up Trends 2012- Stylert.com

New makeup trends have been featured on the runways of fashion weeks. In order to match makeup to our stylish new spring summer 2012 wardrobe we need to know what’s in and what’s out there.

From the fashion weeks that are held in all major fashion capitals in the world, top fashion designers such as Dior have shown what makeup- trends we should be looking at for the upcoming spring and summer season.

Natural Look

This looks suits all women and all ages so no wonder it is oh so popular. Natural look cannot be topped by anything and still manage to look trendy and fabulous. The main key to this trend is to create a nude looking skin using concealed and makeup, define your cheeks subtly with a small tough of blush, curl your lashes and apply mascara and allow your lips to remain bare or apply a subtle, natural looking lipstick. Optional you can turn your natural make-up into an party make-up by applying darker colours like brown, dark brown, or bronze eye shadow to give a little smoky glam touch.

Mascara

To master the trend, you need is an eyelash curler and mascara.  The make-up trend for 2012  is all about the lashes, but the secret is to keep them natural; let the eyeliner or eye shadow go on a much-deserved break.

Eyelashes

No trendy look would be complete without the complimentary accessory of eyelash extensions. The prominence of false eyelashes has been all over 2012 runways and they have become a must have fashion accessory.

Eyeliner

Eyeliners are the hottest trends and are full on drama for next season. Expect to see extreme winged liner, bold lines underneath, smudged eyes, and an array of colors used such as turquoise, violet, two color combo, red liner or even eyeliner patches

Eye Shadows

Smokey eye make-up was brilliant in the fashion launching shows. In which, browns, greys and blacks are used commonly to give a sexy and attractive look to the eyes.  Some of the new makeup trends for 2012 are pastels colors are in trend, bright eyes or lilac, pear green, baby blues, and light yellows eye shadow. Smokey eyes will be still a part of the trends 2012.

Lips

Red lipstick, no doubt is one of the hot comeback. Alongside with the shiny pink lip glosses, classic red lipstick was observed on the runways of spring and summer 2012. You can’t miss with red and violet, no matter the intensity of ideas. Lipstick can be combined (like red and pink) and applied with the finger tips.

Legendary Trench Coat- Stylert.com

Born as a fashion essential, the trench coat is a must have in every wardrobe, is simply a evergreen classic and is one of most iconic fashion pieces.

The trench coat embodies a British heritage, loved from London to Los Angeles, Tyneside to Tokyo, its origin is distinctly militaristic in nature. The history of the iconic trench coat begins at different times, depending on whether you choose Aquascutum or Burberry. Philip Walsh explores the history of the trench coat.

The coat was created in 1901 when Burberry founder Thomas Burberry proposed the garment as the official raincoat for British Army officers. Once World War I rolled around, Burberry altered the jacket slightly to include a few new design features, such as epaulettes, d-rings and straps.

The trench coat, however, did not fare well during the “dress down 90s” – a natural reaction to the hyper-stylised yuppie culture of the 80s. It took Burberry’ s hiring of the photographer Mario Testino and the designer Christopher Bailey at the turn of the century and their forward thinking to turn this around.

Burberry with its distinctive red, black and camel check, has become a must-have fashion brand. Stars including Madonna, Kate Moss and David Beckham have sported in Burberry’s trench coat helping to boost its image. In just a few years it has lost its hopelessly old-fashioned status and become a modern luxury item.

Today’s trench can be made of the traditional heavy cotton gabardine or a more modern poly- cotton shower proof mix. The poly cotton blends allow for a lighter, more versatile trench coat, suitable for many occasions and styles.

The trench coat today remains a pillar of men’s style, they are still loved by a broad cross section of society, from the modern businessmen clutching copies of the Financial Times, to the supermodels on the runways. Since its inception the trench coat has remained an iconic piece of outerwear, born as an essential, its distinct style still captures the hearts of enthusiasts all over the world.
