Dsquared2 FW-2012-13- Stylert.com

 

Dsquared2 has presented their Fall Winter 2012-13 collection at the Milan Fashion Week. The collection is inspired by the sixties, the Canadian designers getting their models to walk down the runway in Milan smoking cigarettes.

Dsquared2’s sixties-inspired show in Milan had their models walk down the runway with smoking cigarettes. Cigarette smoke was part of the background of everyday life in the sixties. The collection Dsquared2 like fun and colourful which includes casual outfits, distressed skinny jeans and sweatshirts and the models were styled with Sixties-style hairdos and make-up.

Dsquared2 is a fashion label created by the Canadian brothers Dean and Dan Caten, (born Dean and Dan Catenacci) who are identical twin brothers. The twins are known for their extravagant, theatrical runway shows and they’re always excited to have a singing star on the catwalk. Often the designers featuring big name in their catwalks like Christina Aguilera and Rihanna, including Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz and Madonna, for whom they developed over 150 pieces for her ‘Drowned World’ tour of 2001.

Max Mara Spring 2012 Ad Campaign- Stylert.com

 

Saskia de Brauw is posing for MaxMara Spring 2012 campaign. The campaign features a number of elegant pieces from the latest Max Mara collection.

Cut clean, strict lines and quality fabrics are the unmistakable figure of Max Mara, one of the companies since 1951 represents the excellence of “Made in Italy” linked in particular to coats impeccable workmanship.

Its founder Achille Maramotti (1927-2005) was the great pioneer of the prêt-à-porter tricolor Years in’60 when the Bel Paese imperative still Haute Couture. TheMax Mara, was founded in Reggio Emilia in the line of continuity with the family tradition.

Saskia de Brauw is a Dutch model and represented by Paparrazi Model Management in Amsterdam. She is also represented by VIVA Paris, VIVA London, DNA Model Management in New York and Why Not Model Agency in Milan.

After an early start in the fashion world, de Brauw left modelling at 16 to pursue her passion for art, studying the subject in her home town of Amsterdam. Returning to modelling at the age of 29 she has quickly emerged from the scores of new faces, establishing herself as one of the girls of the moment; featuring on two Vogue covers in the same month.

Saskia de Brauw was photographed by Mert and Marcus for Carine Roitfeld’s final cover of Vogue Paris – March 2011, and the same month featuring on the cover of Vogue Italia as photographed by Steven Meisel. De Brauw features alongside Mariacarla Boscono and Daphne Groeneveld in the Spring/Summer 2011 Givenchy campaign.

Burberry AW 2012-13 at London Fashion Week- Stylert.com

 

Another of London Fashion Week highlight was the Burberry Prorsum collection. Christopher Bailey features for the AW-2012-13 a lady like elegant style in sumptuous colours and fabrics with lots of tweed, stripes and lace.

The Burberry Prorsum AW-2012-13 under Creative Director Christopher Bailey, infuses a number pleated, deep berry, dark chocolate, green hues and stone coloured trench coats with mustard and brown block colour linings across the bottom.

At the end of the collection show Burberry has created an immersive physical and digital British weather experience with an interior and exterior special-effects rainstorm surrounding the entire show space.

Since his arrival at foundling label Burberry Prorsum in 2001, designer Christopher Bailey has taken the luxury British brand to new heights. Drawing inspiration from Burberry‘s illustrious heritage, he updates its classic styles with fashion-forward flair. KTZ 2012-13 Menswear- Stylert.com

 

The designer team of KTZ has presented their latest menswear collection at the London Fashion Week for the autumn and winter 2012-13 season. KTZ design is known for its fresh and innovative menswear, which have brought them a lot of attention in the fashion scene.

Designers are going wild about tartan, the KTZ designers is making a huge tartan fashion statement for the 2012-13 season. Tartan has been coming and going for years and now they’re back but with a little bit of a twist as fashion designers have increased their versatility by going bold with colors.

KTZ is collaboration between Koji Maruyama, Sasko Bezovski and Marjan Pejoski. Koji is from Japan, whilst Sasko and Majan are from Macedonia, and together they created KTZ, or called Kokon To Zai, the clothing label combining music and fashion.

Established in 1997, the label has gone from strength to strength, even capturing the hearts of high street shoppers by collaborating with fashion front runner, Topshop, in 2010. Having studied at Central Saint Martins, Marjan and Koji continued to excel with their designs, saying “I realised if I didn’t do fashion design, I would never have anything to wear.” Sasko studied architecture and soon joined the KTZ team to become the third member.

Having based one of their stores in London, and the other in Paris, the designers have been featured throughout British magazines, making them one of London Fashion Week‘s top shows to keep your eye on.

Meadham Kirchhoff AW 2012-13- Stylert.com

 

Meadham Kirchhoff has demonstrated a disco inspired line for AW- 2012-13. By turning the models into flashy disco queens gives the London Fashion Week a glittery final.

Here comes the Disco Dance Floor! This bodacious collection is prepared for a disco-dancing good time. Meadham Kirchhoff shows off disco plastic dresses, rainbow coloured hair and sparkly sequin dresses. The show represents the glitzy 70s, completed with an Abba soundtrack and with coloured lights in bright gold, silver, blue or pink glitter.

The design duoMeadham Kirchhoff who is English and Meadham Kirchhoff is French they graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2002. The pair launched their womenswear collection, Meadham Kirchhoff as part of Fashion East in February 2006.

Their exciting seasonal designs are quickly receiving global acclaim. They have since won further shows with the scheme and have more recently been awarded catwalk sponsorship as part of the New Generation scheme for the last 2 seasons.

They define their design aesthetic as a corruption of classic garments and a re-evaluation the values of banality in contemporary culture. Their approach is concise yet refined and most garments incorporate element s of hand finishing or hand treatment. Their FW/2011 collection was inspired by Coco Chanel. The duo addressed the issue of how fashion today can be a caricature of ‘what a woman really is’. They sought to deliver a look for ‘a true woman’:”short but not sexy, covered-p but not a sack”.

Mary Katrantzou AW-2012-13- Stylert.com

 

Mary Katrantzou is Greek-born designer who is based in London. Her vivid prints gain a lot of press attention at the London Fashion Week.

Mary Katrantzou has grown from a brilliant print-maker into a truly innovative designer. Mary Katrantzou AW 2012-13 collection features another set of a surreal visual symphony of, graphic prints. Her signature structured lampshade-shaped dresses and stiff, tailored coats with spoons, phone dials prints, typewriter keys, luggage tassels, clothes hangers  and one dress even was even embroidered with real yellow pencils.

Mary Katrantzou was born in Athens has no vivid memories of fashion as a child, other than meeting Pierre Cardin, who she thought was an interior designer. Her mother was an interior designer and a father who trained as a textile designer.

Mary Katrantzou‘s work has been featured in publications including Vogue, Dazed & Confused, and Grazia. In 2010, she was awarded the coveted Swiss Textiles award, succeeding Alexander Wang who won the award in 2009. She is one of the designers of Città dell’arte Fashion. Hannah Holman is one of the better known models who recently walked in one of Katrantzou‘s shows.

Her collections are now available worldwide in over 60 high end fashion shops. A collection for Topshop launched for  London Fashion Week. autumn/winter 2010 and was available in shops in February 2011.

Louise Gray has presented AW 2012-13 collection at the London Fashion Week .

Louise Gray is known humorous prints and vibrant collections and in the fashion industry she is the one to watch. She specialises in bold colours and bright-looking clothing style that are embellished in many creative unusual ways.

Louise Gray was born and grow up in Scotland and she dreamed of designing textiles from an early age. She studied textiles at Glasgow School of Art and then on to an MA in fashion at Central Saint Martin’s. While there at Central Saint Martin’s, Gray worked for Peter Jensen, Lanvin and Diane von Furstenberg, as well for the prestigious Lancôme Colour Award for new talent.

Having graduated from Saint Martin’s in March this year, she launched her own collection at London Fashion Week as part of the Fashion East line-up.

Having graduated from Chelsea College of Art with a BA (Hons) in textile design Louisa subsequently spent several years working in visual merchandising and window dressing for clients Agnes B and Jigsaw.

This led on to styling fashion for a variety of projects including Vogue Italia, Agnes B and Joseph.

She also works with a broad variety of clients in the UK, Europe and internationally producing photo shoots. Louisa not only originates a concept but carries it through via creative direction, styling of space to final imagery.

Fred Butler has presented AW 2012-13 collection at the London Fashion Week.

Fred Butler is one of Britain’s most innovative designers. She creates wearable sculpture, her iconic designs have graced many fashion magazines and even appeared in Lady Gaga’s infamous “Telephone” video.

Fred Butler graduated in fashion design from the University of Brighton in 2003. After assisting set designer Shona Heath and freelance prop making, Fred launched her website of art direction 2006. Fred specialised in creating props as accessories for stylists such as Nicola Normichetti, Patti Wilson and Lucinda Chambers.

Her work has been used in videos for La Roux, The Gossip and editorials for Marina & The Diamonds , Bishi and Skunk Anansie. Most recently Lady Gaga wore Fred’s blue telephone headpiece in her video with Beyonce: Telephone on a Piano.

For both AW and SS 2010 Fred won New Gen sponsorship from the British Fashion Council showing her collections in the exhibition. Fred’s AW 2009 collection was presented as a film at the Birds Eye View film festival at the ICA and ASVOFF2 at The Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

In April 2010, Fred’s AW 2010 collection film Sunshowers by Elisha Smith- Leverrock was voted ”best Fashion Film of the season” by Business of Fashion.

Sunshowers was created as a part of A Shaded View of Fashion in collaboration with Vogue Italia.

Most recent Fred took over the window of the Wonder Room Concept Store at Selfridges for a coveted 6 week slot with a scheme she art directed ”Urban Jungle vs. Metropolis Ridiculous”

John Rocha Autumn Winter 2012-13- Stylert.com

 

John Rocha has presented AW 2012-13 collection at the London Fashion Week.

John Rocha is known for his contemporary collection, a mixture of beautiful textures, luxurious materials and exquisite embellishment; he creates style a very unique style with distinctive twist for the wardrobe and home.

His key pieces for autumn/winter 2012-13 are in sporty and elegant shapes in a palette of old gold, navy and olive green, a colour he has rarely worked with before. John Rocha draped his models in voluminous black dresses bringing a beautiful gloominess to the catwalk.

Born in Hong Kong of Chinese and Portuguese descent, John Rocha moved to London in the 1970’s to study fashion. Using Irish Linen in his graduate collection he was inspired to visit Ireland, eventually moving to Dublin in the 1980’s, where he has lived for over twenty years, working closely with his wife and business partner, Odette.

Over the years, John has developed and refined his own distinctive style, constantly experimenting with new fabric and techniques. His trademark hand embellishments, handcrafted knitwear and hand painted silks give a distinctly special and eclectic appeal to his collections.

Moschino Cheap And Chic for the first time has participated at the London Fashion Week.

 Moschino’s Cheap & Chic presented it’s autumn- winter 2012-13 collection for the first time at London Fashion Week .The fashion house moves from its regular spot on Milan’s fashion week schedule. While the main Moschino show remains in Italy, the label’s creative director Rossella Jardini tells British Vogue that London “it’s a appropriated platform for (Cheap & Chic) to grow whilst still remembering its roots.”

Moschino Cheap & Chic was launched in 1988 with a collection that displayed the same sense of fun as the iconic main line. The line maintains the brand’s hallmark quirky such as vintage-inspired style, eye-catching polka dot Minnie Mouse patterns, embellishment brooches and tweed jackets in an uplifting palette of green, pink and yellow.

Cheap and Chic was launched 1988 and is the less expensive line. Moschino Cheap & Chic was named as the Jean-Paul Gaultier of Italian fashion for his highly innovative designs.

The designs were very unusual such as quilted black denim miniskirt with plastic fried eggs decorating the hemline, quilted jacket decorated with bottle tops, plug-socket drop earrings, and bodices made out of safety pins. Moschino Cheap and Chic uses basic forms and traditional tailoring methods to produce wearable, sexy clothes, cut to flatter and beautifully made, fashion that is full of fun & chic.
