Roberto Cavalli SS 2012 Campaign is featuring the world’s biggest supermodels; Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and newcomer Daphne Groeneveld.
The campaign was shot by photographer Steven Meisel, in the Pier 59 studios in New York. Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld showcasing Cavalli’s latest designs, including colourful geometric print pieces and glamorous sequin covered dresses. The creative direction for the campaign was by Eva Cavalli while Guido Palau and Pat McGrath took care of the hair and make-up. Naomi Campbell is also modeling the ad for the new Cavalli Florence bag and the Cavalli underwear campaign.

She has also worked with many of the top fashion photographers, including Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, Juergen Teller, and Karl Lagerfeld.
Steven Meisel is an American photographer; he is now considered one of the most successful fashion photographers in the industry, shooting regularly for both US and Italian Vogue, and lately W (also published by Condé Nast). Meisel has also shot campaigns for Versace, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein (for whom his campaigns were very controversial). Meisel also photographers Prada’s campaign each season.
Karen Elson is a British model, singer/ songwriter and guitarist she is currently the face of YSL Opium perfume. She appears in the Fall/Winter 2010/11 ad campaign of Louis Vuitton along with Natalia Vodianova and Christy Turlington, as well as the Trussardi 1911 Spring 2011 campaign.
Daphne Groeneveld is a 16 year-old Dutch model, she was discovered in Amsterdam when a woman randomly approached her about starting a career. After just one year of modeling she has graced the cover of Vogue Paris with Tom Ford, walked in the Valentino, Chanel, and Dior Haute Couture shows in Paris, and received dancing lessons from Madonna for a Miu Miu ad campaign video.
