Rick Owens is an American fashion designer known for his edgy fashions style he is loved by rock stars and people who like to cultivate an avant-garde reputation. With his hallmark looks, asymmetrical dresses, fitted jackets and soft knits makes his recent collections a little more structured—but never conceptual.

Rick Owens’s leather jackets are the big seller every season. Owens’s SS 2012 collection at Paris Fashion Week is featuring long tunic style dresses with Mohican twist, silver leather wedge heel boots, baggy grey drop-crotched trousers, t-shirt dresses or collarless coats with hidden fastenings in pale grey or stripes.

He began to receive attention when an image of Kate Moss shot by Corinne Day appeared in Vogue Paris, featuring one of Owens’ fitted distressed leather jackets. He showed his first runway collection in September 2002 during New York Fashion Week. The show was sponsored by American Vogue and Anna Wintour, who also featured him and his muse Kembra Pfahler in a spread shot by Annie Leibovitz. At this time, he accepted the post of artistic director at Revillon, the French fur maison founded in 1723. Working and producing in Europe led him to his decision to move from Los Angeles to Paris and show during the Paris collections.

He also began his longstanding collaboration with stylist Panos Yiapanis, who has been working with Owens on all his catwalk shows to date. He marked the anniversary of his 10th season in 2009 with a launch of a retrospective limited edition book named ‘L’ai – Je Bien Descendu?,’ which included a number of provocative photographs. A monograph published by Rizzoli will follow in 2011.

Sacai Clothing- Stylert.com

Sacai is a Japanese brand that is the creation of designer Abe Chitose. She established the brand in 1999 quietly after either years of working for Junya Watanabe at Comme des Garçons. Her knitwear collection has built a high popularity amongst fashionistas. Sacai is all about the finest quality knits, but they are often used in unusual ways and combined with other elements and fabrics to produce beautifully feminine pieces.

Chitose Abe was born in 1965 and is the former knit designer of Comme des Garçons. She has quietly been creating Sacai womenswear collections since 1999, having worked for Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe before that. Her knitwear-based collections have built an underground following with very little publicity at the begining. Although keeping away her collection from the fashion’s spotlight, quietly her collection was garnering a global fan after she presented her AW2010 collection in Paris.

The brand has grown to include menswear, is now stocked at some of the most high profile fashion boutiques and stores worldwide including Colette in Paris, and its womenswear line showed its second AW2011 collection in Paris earlier this year. Remarkably, the brand has managed to stay away from the glare and pressure of centre stage in the fashion domain. Honing her craft at Comme des Garcons, Abe showed flair for incorporating mixed textures, something she has developed in her collections for Sacai. Sacai’s clothing has managed to gain and maintain a strong following proving that Abe’s success is not a flash in the pan nor something commercial and over-hyped.

Her latest SS 2012 menswear collection is offering 21 looks that stuck closely to the brand’s creative message of “design built upon the everyday”.

Agyness Deyn is from Failsworth in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester. The daughter of a nurse, Lorraine, and second of three children she attended All Saints RC High School, as well as Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School and Sixth Form in Waterfoot, Rossendale.

Deyn’s name was apparently coined to further her modelling career after she consulted her mother’s friend, a numerology expert who advised her of the most ‘fortuitous’ way to spell the name ‘Agnes‘. It was reported that her mother Lorraine and sister Emily have both changed their surname to Deyn, while Lorraine has changed the I in her first name to Y.

Deyn’s working life started serving part-time aged 13, at a fish and chip shop in Hull. Even at an early age she had an eye for style and by 17 she had already had her head shaved. “I’ve had short hair since I was 13, and when I was 17, I had a skinhead.”In 1999, she won the Rossendale Free Press “Face of ’99″ competition, aged just 16. She then moved to London, working in a fast-food restaurant during the day and a bar at night but admits: “It didn’t quite work.” During this time she says she was also at college in Hull, studying drama and music.

She was spotted while shopping with fashion designer Henry Holland in Kentish Town, London. She then signed with SELECT model management. Currently she is signed with Models 1 in the UK.

In May 2007, she was featured on the cover of Vogue from USA, alongside Doutzen Kroes, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Jessica Stam, Coco Rocha, Hilary Rhoda, Chanel Iman, and Lily Donaldson as the new crop of supermodels.

Deyn was working for many big designers. She has also been featured on the covers of: UK Vogue, the Observer Woman supplement, The Sunday Times Style, Pop, Grazia, Time, Style & Life, Vogue Italia, and numerous other international publications.

In June 2009, the Daily Mirror reported that Deyn had quit modelling to spend more time with her boyfriend. The newspaper quoted a source as saying that modelling had started to bore Deyn and that she had hired an acting agent to pursue an acting career in British independent films.

Although usually she sports a boyish cut more recently she has been seen with a bob and a bowl cut. In April 2010 she caused headlines when she arrived at the Coachella Music Festival with her head shaved to a “skinhead” style similar to that of Sinead O’Connor in the early 90s.

Deyn appeared in the May 2011 British Vogue editorial, photographed by Tim Walker.

Deyn provides vocals for the single “Who” by Five O’Clock Heroes as well as featuring in the video. The single was poorly received by NME, who gave it only a 2/10.  The single charted at #109 in the UK. Until recently she was a member of the now defunct group Lucky Knitwear.

In March 2011, Deyn appeared as an owl-bearing warrior in Woodkid’s debut music video, “Iron”.

For October 2011, Elle Magazine UK has just has released its cover featuring Agyness Deyn and David Slijper as photographer.

Agent Provocateur- Stylert.com

Agent Provocateur was founded in 1994 by Joseph Corré and Serena Rees. Agent Provocateur, is one of the world’s hottest lingerie label it  brings an air of provocative elegance style which only leaves a hint of imagination.

The British lingerie retailer Agent Provocateur was started in 1994 by Joseph Corré, son of Vivienne Westwood, and his now ex-wife Serena Rees.

Joseph Corré was born in 1967 in Clapham, England to fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and the Sex Pistol’s former manager Malcolm McLaren. His surname comes from his father’s maternal grandmother who was a Sephardic Jew from Portugal.

As a child, he would wear his mother’s designs long before they were popular. He would hang out with the Sex Pistols and regards them as his favourite band, despite his poor relationship with Johnny Rotten.

He met Serena Rees, now ex-wife and former business partner, in 1992 at a night club. The pair divorced in 2007 and have one daughter together.

Agent Provocateur was established in 1994 after Rees grew tired of seeing drab undergarments. The two opened a shop in which they originally sold other designers’ lingerie. Corre, a former Vivienne Westwood employee, had no intentions of designing lingerie. After not finding enough of the type lingerie they wished to sell, Corre decided to make their own brand of lingerie. Since then, the company has spanned to 14 different countries and 30 stores.

Following his divorce with Rees, Agent Provocateur was purchased by the private equity house 3i for £60m.

In June 2007, Corré was awarded the MBE for his services to the fashion industry in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list. However, he controversially rejected the honour in protest of outgoing Prime Minister Tony Blair’s actions regarding Iraq and Civil Liberties.

Here are more highlights from:  Meadham Kirchhoff, Peter Pilotto, Matthew Williamson, Nicole Farhi, A Child of the Jago, Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane.

Peter Pilotto‘s SS 2012 collection embraces both new and classic perspectives on elegance. The clothes were straight from a dress up box, with structured sequined knicker-shorts, bright pinafore dresses and heart motifs in bold canary yellow, pillar box red and turquoise.   Matthew Williamson’s inspirations for the SS 2012 collection are: The prints are inspired by the fusion of nature and technology.
