Liska by Thomas Kirchgrabner-Stylert.com

Thomas Kirchgrabner a high end designer of the Austrian fashion scene. Liska by Thomas Kirchgrabner is a luxury fashion house located in the first district of Vienna and well-known for its own and exquisite fur coat collection.

Thomas Kirchgrabner, graduate of the fashion school Herbststrasse, is the head designer of Liska’s own fashion collection, and successor of Thang de Hoo, another famous Austrian designer, who previously led Liska’s creative department. The young, award winning designer created a furor with his label in 2007. During the same year he presented his first women’s collection for the traditional Viennese fashion house Liska known mainly for its fur fashion.

Some people may say that the opulence fashion is dying amongst the younger generations. Not for Thomas Kirchgrabner, the designer has sharpened his skills in fur design and transferred them over to Liska. He is touching every little detail that is moving down the runway with serious skill and a clear vision. If it looks expensive that’s because it is. And it should be. Thomas understands why an inner lining should coat one’s skin like the rarest diamond, but he also knows how to render this sensuality to attract younger buyers while satiating Liska’s existing customer base.

Liska the Boutique is situated in the elegant Austrian city of Vienna. With the core of the collection coming from labels picked for their sheer quality and decadence – Yves Saint Laurent, Fendi, Valentino and Lanvin, as well as their own label, Liska by Thomas Kirchgrabner, the boutique’s USP is its range of furs. Liska is the premier destination for chic fashion fans on the hunt for that perfect mink coat or sable stole.

Travel Must Have Fashion in the Suitcase- Stylert.com

Hurray finally getting towards holiday time in a few weeks you will chill out which after the last couple of months of stress is desperately needed. The easiest way to get the most wear out of your minimal packed wardrobe is to pick a variety of pieces that all match. You want to be able to get as many outfits out of as little clothing as possible. Here a few tips how to pack your suitcase and a few of indispensible pieces of must have in your suitcase.

Easy wear pants

A pair of easy wear trousers or jeans .Take some thin or zip-off pants and a sarong, just increase you go anywhere that you can’t show your legs or arms (some cathedrals, and such).. This season’s fashionable cropped pants are perfect holiday daywear or if you don’t want to be parted from your jeans then you can always opt for summer white (highly impractical, but great for a vacation) or a colourful pair of skinny pants. As you are traveling, keep them loose fitting and comfortable, rather than sausage-skin tight.

Play suit

Jumpsuits or playsuits, are versatile and comfortable and they are great for sightseeing in, or at least some kind of short that’s cool but won’t chafe and rub if you get sweaty during sightseeing. Other than that, take a hat for the sunshine, maybe some cooler long sleeves if you burn easily (really thin cotton or linen is great).

Footwear

Really sturdy footwear (good running shoes or something like that for traveling. Don’t forget good breathable socks, underwear, and bras, and something cool to sleep in. Avoid taking ten pairs of shoes that only match particular outfits or those which are likely to be uncomfortable, as your feet expand in the heat. Take 1 pair of sexy high-heels, to instantly change the look of your outfits; a pair of comfortable flats and some strappy summer sandals.

Summer dresses

A lightweight print sundress and a evening skirt or special dress. This can be cotton for a day dress and chiffon, silk, or some other elegant fabric, for eveningwear. Choose another little black dress, a stylish print, or a fashionable and elegant maxi

Beachwear

Choose two swimsuits a one-piece or bikini and a kraftan type cover-up. Whether you prefer and don’t forget sunglasses and a sunhat to protect your head from the heat. Your beach cover-up can be the versatile sarong, or a cool kaftan, which is right on-trend at the moment. A kaftan has more possibilities in terms of where you can wear it, as it can also double as a tunic top or as a dress

Hand luggage

Make sure all your essential travel documents are in your hand luggage, and put them right at the top. You need your passport, tickets debit card, and extra money. Weigh it before! Most airlines allow one piece of luggage to be checked in, up to a maximum of 20kg for international travel

Missoni Made in Italy-Stylert.com

Designer Angela took the lead of third-generation Missoni family tradition, which emphasizes the value of “Made in Italy”. The Italian fashion house is known for its multitude of patterns such as stripes, geometrics, and abstract florals, in a kaleidoscope of colours. It seems that Missoni see and understands colours in different way than the rest of us.

The story of the Italian fashion house started when founders Rosita and Ottavio first met in 1948 at the Olympic Games in London. She was studying English and decided to attend some track and field events. He was a track runner who also supplied the Italian track team’s uniforms. They married five years later and set up a workshop in Milan initially designing tracksuits and later knitwear. They launched their own label from their basement in 1953. Shortly after, the Missoni multicoloured patterns and stripes were solidified. Still a family affair, the founder’s daughter, Angela designs and sons, Luca and Vittorio oversee the business. Established at the forefront of Italian fashion, this family run business has continued to create innovative knits since husband and wife team.

The Missoni signature colours and designs are as relevant today as they were over fifty years ago and continue to impress the fashion pack each season. Famed for their unconventional mix of colour and pattern, and with daughter Angela now at the creative helm they continue to create luxurious eveningwear, casual knits and must-have accessories. Their eye-catching beachwear has also been able to win over a younger audience and with Margherita as a muse for the brand, we can see why. The early 1970s saw Missoni reach the peak of their influence in the fashion world.

The Missoni Home collection has its roots in furnishing fabrics produced in 1981 in collaboration with Rosita’s family firm. They launched their first perfume in 1982, although that product has nothing to do with the license now held by Estée Lauder. Tai Missoni then became more interested in other projects, everything from designing costumes for La Scala, to designing carpets and tapestries. Rosita has admitted that in the 1990s she lost interest in fashion, before handing over to her daughter Angela in 1998. Rosita now is responsible for overseeing the design of all home projects.

Aside from the main Missoni line, the company has diversified into a variety of luxury goods. Missoni Sport was initially licensed out but production and marketing was brought in-house in January 2002 and has since been discontinued. In November 2005, Missoni and the Rezidor Hotel Group signed an agreement to create Hotel Missoni, a lifestyle hotel chain, with plans to have 30 hotels open or in development by 2012.

It’s always been Margherita who appeared to be designated heiress apparent of the family style legacy. She’s helped her mother Angela, the line’s designer; nudge it to a more contemporary place. For this coming season2011-12, Angela was building up her younger daughter Teresa, claiming it was her dress sense that influenced the proportions of the collection. And, armed with that update, it was indeed easy to see Teresa’s nonchalance in the sweeping skirts, the oversize tops.

Make Jeans Look Vintage- Stylert.com

Vintage and worn out clothing style is an ongoing trend that taking over the major runways. Making your own vintage jeans will take some effort if you are trying to hunt for the perfect pair at the designer outlet store. I found some great techniques how to give your new pair of jeans this worn out extreme vintage look.

Worn out look

In order to achieve a natural aged look you can speed up the process by using sandpaper or a cheese grater.  Start with the knees and work your way up to the thighs.  It is important to work on each leg a little bit at a time to avoid an unbalanced look.  Once you start seeing the white of the threads you should be gentle since unintended tears can occur.

Rip jeans

Rip jeans for the ultimate distressed look .To cut, a razor, X-acto knife or utility knife works best. Use caution to avoid cutting yourself.  When cutting holes you should use a razor blade, cut along the edge and not against it. You can be more moderated with cuttings around the lower legs where the jeans touch the floor. Do this by gently rubbing them with a coarse piece of sandpaper. Destructed denim can look sexy and sophisticated if you wear it well and with complimenting pieces.

Patchworks

Use rough patchworks. If you break major or supporting threads in the fabric when aging the clothing, tacking this portion back together using a rough or homely repair can add to the distressed look of the item

Bleaching

This strategy is the most unpredictable. Each pair of jeans will react differently and you won’t know what to expect until after a couple of wash cycles.  If you want to spot treat them, apply a mild solution of bleach and water with a spray bottle before putting them in the machine.  Use the “bleach spray” setting for an even application.

Yellowed look

For a slightly yellowed look you can your jeans in a bucket with the unused coffee grounds or tea bath (Several tea bags or black coffee, hot water and enough water to cover clothes–add more tea bags or coffee for darker color). This is also a great way to alter the “wash” of a pair of jeans. Especially helpful if you think they are too blue, you are sick of them, a friend has the same style and wash, etc.
