Jeremy Scott Designer Profile- Stylert.com

The American designer Jeremy Scott renowned for his comic-book obsessions and for his iconic, humorous prints, his vibrant collections are featured at Fashion Weeks around the world.

Jeremy Scott was born in Kansas City Missouri and he attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and New York for fashion design. He started his runway career in Paris and has since shown collections in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, London, Moscow, and Seoul.

He launched his first ready-to-wear line in 1997. He also designs for sportswear giant Adidas. The line called Jeremy Scott for Adidas originals by originals features apparel and footwear, one such piece as his high top with a wing extending from it have become an instant best seller and a cultural Icon for Adidas. Jeremy has worked closely with the foundation for the late artist Keith Haring for which Jeremy did a shoe and track suit using Haring’s graphic art work with Adidas for a special project called AdiColor.

In 2011 the designer has collaborated with Swatch watches and created a 80s-style watch range for the company. The collection inspired by designer drugs and underground party icons, and has plenty of neon eye makeup and clear plastic clothing to prove it. Scott released three watch styles he’s through Swatch: Lighting Flash, Winged Swatch, and Swatch Opulence.

Linda Farrow is a luxury eyewear brand that became a cult accessory in the 1970s. The brand is known today for collaborations with several designers, including Alexander Wang, Matthew Williamson, Dries Van Noten and Jeremy Scott. Linda Farrow Vintage returned to reclaim their rightful position consisting over 2000 different designs all in pristine condition, ranging from one-off pieces to 500 per style. All in their original packaging, Jablon decided to launch Linda Farrow Vintage and sell his retro specs to exclusive retailers world-wide.

Hervé Léger is famous for the bandage dresses. The dresses are made of bands of stretch fabrics, wool, or silk woven with Lycra or Elastene, that would mold around the wearer’s body with its signature bandage-like strips.

Herve Leger was founded in 1985 by the designer currently known as Hervé L. Leroux. Leroux adopted his current name after he lost the rights to the Hervé Léger name. Leroux pioneered the creation of the “bandage” or “body-con (body-conscious)” dress, using materials traditionally associated with foundation garments to create dresses that would mold and shape around the wearer’s body with its signature bandage-like strips.

His iconic eponymous label was relaunched in 2007 under the creative direction of Max Azria. The house of Leger remains firmly in the fashion spotlight, re-launching that signature sexiness with a fresh faced approach. Apart from dresses, he also designs dresses constructed of knitted cotton and viscose bands, easy, brightly coloured T-shirts, suits made of both matte and shiny fabrics and minimal light-looking striped tops. He was inspired by designers like Claude Montana, Azzedine Alaia and Gianfranco Ferre. He sells approximately 2,000 dresses each season.

Bernhard Willhelm is one of the most ingenious designers in the new creative fashion scene. Inspired by German folklore to the American flag, Michael Jackson, historical costumes, toys and computer games seems as obvious focus on the 90s

The recognizable style of Bernhard Willhelm is a rapid rise in the fashion world and he broke almost every rule you can break in the fashion world. It comes as no surprise that this now-Paris-local received the ANDAM Grand Prize as the most promising talent of the new creative scene.

 

He was born in Ulm, South Germany, in 1972. His family moved to Belgium and he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He graduated in Fashion Design in July 1998.

He interned with designer Walter van Beirendonck and also worked for some time with Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and Dirk Bikkembergs.

 

He was always was very passionate about designing fashion and launched his own label immediately on leaving college. Bernhard Willhelm studied at the Helm Royal Academy for Visual Arts in Antwerp while Jutta Kraus got her degree from the University of Westminster, London. In 1999 they started together under one name – Bernhard Willhelm.

Around Christmas 2005, Phoebe Philo announced her resignation from the house of Chloe, as she wanted to spend more time in London with her family. In her place Bernhard Wilhelm will be womenswear designer.

Bond No. 9 Astor the perfume won the coveted 2010 FiFi Award for Best Fragrance Women’s Nouveau Niche. The Perfumer for the winning scent is Laurent Le Guernec and Bond No. 9 was also the recipient of a second award for 2010 FiFi Fragrance of the Year, Men’s Nouveau Niche for the scent “Brooklyn”.

 

Laurent Le Guernec has the unique ability to merge his passion for detail and knowledge of French classic perfumery with an American contemporary touch – hence his global appeal. His French background predisposes him to savor tastes and smells and to linger over them. Also a visual person, Laurent is inspired by pictures, individual flowers, bouquets, and the colors that comprise them. He brings this heightened awareness and appreciation for art, creation and aesthetics into all he creates.

 

Laurent Le Guernec was born near Paris in January 1967. Although Laurent was not consciously aware of the world of perfumery as a profession growing up, he certainly was subliminally. He recalls seeing his mother and grandmother surrounded by beautiful fragrance flacons applying and reapplying perfume everyday. His revelation about becoming a Perfumer occurred while studying Chemistry at the University of Paris and he learned about the renowned perfumery school, Institut Superieur International de Parfums, Cosmetiques et Arômes Alimentaires (ISIPCA) in Versailles, France. Inspired by his grandfather who was a craftsman and an artist, he decided to become a perfumer.

Gareth Pugh signature sleek dramatic and gothic style resonates throughout all his collection. Gareth Pugh interprets, fashion as entertainment. His lavish shows have been a hit in the press. Inspired by punk and gothic scenes, his designs often feature leather black and white patchwork squares. Other elements he has used materials including mink, parachute silk, foam footballs, afro-weave synthetic hair, and electrically charged plastic in his clothing. Similar fashion performance artists are Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, and Vivienne Westwood.

 

Gareth Pugh was born in England and he began his fashion career at the tender age of 14, working as a costume designer for the English National Youth Theatre. He earned a fashion design degree from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design in 2003 and has since moved to Paris to move his line forward. But before moving to Paris, Pugh worked out of a warehouse and was soon evicted. Hard work paid off when he won the ANDAM prize, which included a fiscal prize of 150,000 euro. The money allowed Pugh to show his RTW Spring 2009 collection in Paris.

The Diet Coke Limited Edition Collection by Karl Lagerfeld is totally appealing and is the perfect fashion accessory for a fashionista. Using playful elements of Karl Lagerfeld’s identifiable trademark , as like the graphic design, such as the contrasting black, white and pink color palette that all three aluminum bottles featuring. Karl Lagerfeld has created a bold, contemporary yet instantly recognisable collection.

 

Last year, Karl Lagerfeld collaborated with Coca Cola Light on an aluminum limited edition soda bottle.  For 2011, Karl has renewed the partnership and has designed three new bottles.  Lagerfeld also photographed the ad campaign that features Coco Rocha, Heidi Mount and Jeneil Williams.  The bottles will be available in June.

 

 

Referring a conversation to his first design for Coca-Cola light in 2010, Karl Lagerfeld said, “I love this bottle but it’s time for a new one. Actually I want to do three bottles.” He also added, “I loved what we did last year but I will love 2011 even more. I’m delighted about this collaboration.”

 

 

The beverage industry often turns to fashion designers for packaging makeovers. Japanese designer Issey Miyake recently redesigned Evian’s water bottle, which has also been dressed by Christian Lacroix. Karl Lagerfeld has done similar collaborations in the past. Back in the 90s, he has created the wine label for Rauzan-Ségla to mark the château’s 350th birthday this year. He also worked with Dom Pérignon for the 1998 vintage collection.

However, everything Karl Lagerfeld touches turns to gold and get ready for another bottle makeover.

Jenny Packham is an award winning British designer and widely known for dressing some of Hollywood’s most famous starlets. Tory Burch is an American fashion designer and was born in June 17, 1966 and was raised and educated in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. She attended the Agnes Irwin School in Rosemont, PA, and the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a member of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. After graduation, she moved to New York City, where she began a career working with fashion designers, including Zoran a Yugoslavian designer. She worked at Harper’s Bazaar magazine. She started her own fashion label in February 2004. The label was an immediate success and was endorsed by Oprah Winfrey the following year.
