The line is influenced by a variety of fashions cultures, including Guatemalan, Japanese, Indian and Jamaican styles. Stefani came from a line of seamstresses. This further inspired her to launch her own fashion line. The line achieved popularity among celebrities and is worn by stars such as Teri Hatcher, Nicole Kidman, Paris Hilton and Stefani herself.

The line was founded in 2003 but made its runway debut the following year in 2004. Stefani first came face to face with designing clothes when she and her mother would sew clothes for themselves when she was young. Stefani comes from a long line of seamstresses, as even her great – grandmother would sew clothes. Stefani made most of the things she wore onstage during concerts herself. When she became successful and began to tour constantly, she felt she lost her way. Then she met the stylist Andrea Lieberman. Lieberman introduced her to haute couture clothing. Later Lieberman became her creative consultant and Zaldy Goco took over as the head designer. Goco later parted ways with L.A.M.B. L.A.M.B. started out as a collaboration with LeSportsac in 2003. The name L.A.M.B. is an acronym which stands for Love. Angel. Music.  Baby., which is also the name of Stefani’s first solo album.

Men Fashion Trends for 2011/12- Stylert.com

Men have now become equally conscious about what they wear and how they accessorize themselves. From, men’s fashion week, everybody expect to see lots of men’s suits, shirts with little change in cuts. Men are now equally interested in fashion weeks held at the four major destinations Milan, Paris, London and New York.

Military Look

The Second World War uniforms are the inspiration for this style. Clothes were full-cut again, with double-breasted, longer jackets and wider trousers. Shirts and coats came in a range of colors and hand-painted silk ties ran the range from elegant to be exotic. In 2011, menswear fashion houses like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Brioni, Priestley’s Vintage and Yohji Yamamoto are turning back time.

Motorcycle Trend

The motorcycle jacket is the key statement piece for the motorcycle / biker fashion trend. Naturally, not any motorcycle jacket will do. The biker jacket trend is the focus of a number of designers like for example Burberry, Balmain and Rick Owens, the main element of trend this trend is the motorcycle jacket. Of course, just because the biker chic trend is about more than Brando jackets and black motorcycle jackets doesn’t mean to say that the trend is completely devoid of both styles. And so it goes that it’s not merely about an overused cut and simple black colour. In fact, many a colour will suit and you can find new colour leather trends.

Printed T-Shirt

Screen printed t-shirts and band t-shirts have also skyrocketed in popularity in recent years, becoming appropriate attire for teens as well as for adults. Popular brands and designers such as Diesel, Alexander McQueen, Balmain offer a variety of cool screen printed shirts – the prevailing fashion suggestion being to choose high-contrast colors for wear during the evening or during summer months.

Suits

The trends for the suits are something between the 1930s and 1970s. With its obvious appeal, the cuts are double breasted as seen by Tom Ford Spring 2011 men’s collection. The suits are in eye-catching pink or purple blazers teamed with black pants or the bright purple magenta suit looks trendy and hip. The classic suits are taking a few elements from the Victorian era, or from the savoir faire of the 1930s and others from the skinny detailing of the 1960s) and apply them to a modern silhouette. As seen by Ann Demeulemeester FW 2011 collection.

Jeans

Not a lot of men like to wear narrowed men’s jeans, because consider them too eccentric, unsuitable for a serious young man which sticks to traditional style in clothes. All well-known brands as Levi’s, Humor, PRPS, Diesel and many other designed the collections of jeans for an autumn and winter 2010 and 2011 by best traditions. The jeans now can come in different colors and shades. It has different types of wash. Dark jeans can be worn as a minimalist take of the interpretation of jeans. This can also be worn with a sports jacket. Light color types and distressed jeans are only limited to casual wear. The materials of jeans are modified from plain sateen to coarse threadbare tissues.

Anglomania Vivienne Westwood- Stylert.com

The Anglomania line, is a collaboration between the fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and denim giant Lee. The line takes its inspiration from the Westwood archive, referencing her collections from the 70’s and 80’s whilst using some of the cuts that made her popular in the first place.

Created in 1997, the wearable line channels Westwood’s punk roots and references some of her early designs and prints. Vivienne Westwood is considered to be one of Britain’s greatest fashion exports and Anglomania serves as the ideal entry point for those wishing to get into the unique Westwood style aesthetic.

Vivienne believes that fashion is a combination and exchange of ideas between France and England. On the English side they have tailoring and an easy charm, on the French side that solidity of design and proportion that comes from never being satisfied because something can always be done to make it better, more refined.

For the Anglomania collection SS/2011, the pieces that were integrated into the collection were like denim jackets and waistcoats painted in metallic iridescent rainbow colors. There were brightly colored bondage shorts that had been re-worked in vibrant denims and harked back to the Punk years, along with jeans that were smeared with paint or shredded.

Luckily, Tough (by name and by nature!) is in a strong position as she already sells within the UK.

Oversized jumpers and tight vests are embellished with lengths of Chanel inspired gold chains. Flashy details like this add a European sensibility to her work.
